Resumo
As medidas sanitárias necessárias propostas para mitigar a propagação viral da SRA-CoV-2, tais como distanciamento físico e quarentenas, tiveram um impacto não apenas na saúde mental da população, mas também forçaram mudanças na prestação de serviços psicológicos. O presente estudo visa reunir informações essenciais sobre o conceito, vantagens, desvantagens, usos e recomendações da telepsicologia nos tempos da COVID-19. Para este fim, foi realizada uma revisão sistemática das evidências científicas disponíveis nos bancos de dados Scopus, PubMed e Web of Science. Entre os resultados, destacam-se a acessibilidade, a redução do estigma e a flexibilidade em sua aplicação. Limitações como a insegurança da privacidade dos dados, barreiras ao acesso e baixo treinamento clínico nas habilidades necessárias para este formato também são mencionadas. Por outro lado, foram encontradas evidências favoráveis para seu uso no tratamento de transtorno de estresse pós-traumático, pânico e agorafobia, ansiedade generalizada e trauma. Conclui-se que a intervenção psicoterapêutica através da telepsicologia, em consideração a certas recomendações e sugestões críticas, pode oferecer resultados satisfatórios para o paciente e o terapeuta e ser adequada para várias faixas etárias e distúrbios.
