Resumen

La conexión social (CS) percibida es un constructo unidimensional conceptualizado como la evaluación cognitiva de que existe una relación cercana con otros con los que se puede establecer contacto. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo adaptar la Escala de Conexión Social (ECS) al contexto brasileño, reuniendo evidencias de adecuación psicométrica. Se realizaron dos estudios, el primero (N = 285; edad media 24 años; SD = 4,92; 62% varones) para obtener la estructura factorial exploratoria y el segundo (N = 300; edad media 23 años; SD = 5,43 ; 51% hombres) dirigido al análisis confirmatorio de la unidimensionalidad y los parámetros de la teoría de respuesta al ítem. La consistencia interna fue satisfactoria, así como la evidencia de validez convergente obtenida de las correlaciones negativas con la escala de depresión, ansiedad y estrés. Los resultados revelan que la versión portuguesa del ECS reunió evidencia psicométrica adecuada que respalda su uso en la medición de CS.
