Focus and Scope
The Interamerican Journal of Psychology aims to showcase advancements in the Americas from various theoretical, practical, and research perspectives. Our editorial policy fosters communication and collaboration amongst regional psychologists. As such, we publish studies of the Americas with international scope, comparative analyses between different countries in the region, as well as with other parts of the world. The journal publishes three issues annually and welcomes submissions in all areas of psychology, written in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
Plagiarism detection
Manuscripts submitted will be checked for plagiarism using the Google Assignments applications.
Limit on article processing per author
A maximum of two articles may be processed with the participation of the same author.
Limit on affiliation institutions
Each author may indicate only one institution of affiliation for the signature on the articles. Other institutions must be listed in the author's note as other funding institutions.
Peer Review Process
A minimum of two reviewers are assigned to each manuscript. The criteria use to judge the submission is usually based on the contribution of the manuscript to the Interamerican psychology. A manuscript usually takes about 30 to 90 days to be review (this time is just an approximation and it could be longer depending on the reviewers) it and the reviewers are recruited based on their expertise and experience in that particular specialty.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This journal also provides an outlet for researchers to publish their work free of charge as well.
Journal History
The Interamerican Journal of Psychology is published since 1967 by the Interamerican Society of Psychology . It is the policy of the journal to publish the current developments of Interamerican psychology under both the theoretical and the applied and professional prospective; doing this, the journal aims to promote communication and cooperation among psychologists from the different Interamerican Countries.
