Résumé

The purpose of these experiments was to investigate association between mean errors obtained with the rod and frame test and data from mirror-drawing, intelligence and personality tests. The subjects were 50 college students. The intelligence test was the Kohs-Block-Design and the personality tests were the Color Pyramid Test of Pfister and the Personality Inventory of Bernreuter. The following results were obtained:

  1. Data from the rod and frame test follow the general tendency verified by Witkin and al., but results show smaller errors as compared to the ones shown by his subjects. These lower results are in agreement with studies made by Gross and Kato.
  2. In the mirror-drawing experiment the variables considered were number of errors, time spent in errors, and time spent in the whole task. No association was found between these variables or between mirror-drawing and rod and frame test.
  3. Results obtained with Kohs-Block-Design do not agree to expectations anticipated from association between Gottschaldt and Kohs-Block-Design found by Thurstone. No association was found.
