Abstract
El presente estudio preliminar y exploratorio reporta la construcción de un instrumento para facilitar la identificación y descripción de las motivaciones y dificultades percibidas para hacer investigación entre docentes universitarios. Los participantes fueron 86 profesores de tres universidades (dos privadas y una pública), ubicados en Lima Metropolitana (Perú). Los análisis fueron de consistencia interna y factorización de ítems. Se halló una estructura de dos motivaciones (orientación prosocial y personal) y tres dificultades (dificultades personales, relacionadas con la tarea de investigar y del contexto); los ítems en cada una mostraron buen nivel de discriminación y los puntajes adecuados niveles de consistencia interna y moderadamente correlacionados. No hay estudios publicados sobre este tópico, y estos primeros resultados garantizan un instrumento estandarizado para cuantificar las motivaciones y dificultades para hacer investigación. Sin embargo, estudios de replicación son requeridos.
