Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio fue examinar la relación entre el estilo de apego y el apoyo social percibido en adultos chilenos con y sin consumo problemático de sustancias (N = 46). El estilo de apego se evaluó con el cuestionario Ca-Mir y el apoyo social mediante el cuestionario MOS. La inseguridad del apego se asoció al consumo problemático de sustancias, mientras la seguridad del apego en los consumidores se asoció a un mayor apoyo social percibido. El consumo de sustancias sería una estrategia de regulación emocional a la base de la inseguridad del apego y del bajo apoyo social. Los resultados se discutieron desde una perspectiva del apego, dada su relevancia para la psicoterapia en el contexto de la rehabilitación por consumo de sustancias.
