Abstract
O objetivo deste estudo foi propor ideias para o estudo de questões que envolvam a interdependência entre contextos sociais e a ação individual por meio da Grounded Theory. Adotaram-se duas estratégias: identificar abordagens na psicologia social sociológica que ofereçam ideias sobre como estudar a interdependência entre estrutura social e ação individual e apontar alternativas práticas apresentadas por teóricos da Grounded Theory para superar o problema em questão. As propostas apresentadas foram: a) a adoção das abordagens de Stryker, Giddens, Elias e Bourdieu como sensibilizadoras para o desenvolvimento de teorias; b) uso e criação de matrizes ou mapas para codificação; e c) confrontação da teoria substantiva criada com os aportes dos citados teóricos com o objetivo de situar a teoria dentro das contribuições da comunidade científica.
